Theatre Art Guild Cadets Invited to Broadway Performance from Arts in the Armed Forces

Published on November 30, 2022

Recently the Theatre Art Guild cadets were invited to a one-night-only annual Broadway performance from Arts in the Armed Forces (AITAF). AITAF is a nonprofit organization that brings theater to military bases all over the world as an effort to help military members find ways of coping with and expressing their emotions. The show was Fat Ham, which is a modern day take on Hamlet. Actor and AITAF founder Adam Driver gave opening remarks, and the performance was followed by a Q&A session with the cast. During this experience, cadets were able to meet veterans from across the country, engage with Larry Lennox-Choate ’09 who is on the board of directors for AITAF, and enjoy wonderful conversations with first-year drama students from Juilliard. Out of classroom experiences like this are made possible by donors supporting the Margin Of Excellence.
