West Point economics majors enrolled in SS494 “Principles of Finance” had the opportunity to visit a Harvard business school class today, as well as participate in their own case method discussion on “Lupoli Companies: Riverwalk – Making an Impact” - the story of entrepreneur Sal Lupoli Sal's Pizza and the revitalization of Lawrence, Massachusetts. The case stresses the importance of public private partnerships the allocative efficiency of capital markets and how finance helps support sound decision making. The case was combined with a lecture from Arthur Brooks on the importance of leading with happiness.
