Cadets Participate in a Simulation Hosted by the Center for International Security Studies at Princeton University
Cadets with the Grand Strategy Program along with Cadet research assistants with the Irregular Warfare Initiative (a joint venture between Princeton’s Empirical Studies of Conflict Project and the Modern War Institute at West Point) participated in a crisis simulation hosted by the Center for International Security Studies at Princeton University. ROTC cadets from Rutgers and Princeton University, along with undergraduate and graduate student Princeton University civilian students, assumed roles as political or military leaders for various actors in the Horn of Africa oriented around the Tigray conflict in Ethiopia. This event was an excellent opportunity to build civil-military relations between West Point, ROTC, and Princeton University, and demonstrated to cadets a real-world scenario of how the military can be used in times of humanitarian crisis.
