Bard College and West Point Cadets Participated in a Joint Civil-Military Seminar

Students from Bard College and West Point Cadets participated in a joint civil-military seminar on Homer’s Iliad. Led by Dr. Hugh Liebert from West Point and Dr. Rana Liebert from Bard the seminar continued the legacy of the late classicist and beloved Bard professor Bill Mullen, who initiated the Bard-West Point exchange with a joint seminar on Homer’s Iliad in the late 1990s. Special guest lecturers included Professors Daniel Mendelsohn, Emily Allen Hornblower, and Elizabeth Samet.
