Yearlings Ruck Back, Complete Cadet Field Training

On June 28, 2023, yearlings and Cadet Cadre completed the 8-mile ruck march that marked the culmination of Cadet Field Training.

This achievement highlights the tremendous growth and development they have undergone during this intensive training program both as leaders and trainees. The U.S. Military Academy thanks the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division for their commitment to developing West Point cadets.

These cadets will now transition to additional military training, summer school, internships or R&R at home and travel.

The U.S. Military Academy hosted a graduation ceremony for the first Air Assault class of the summer, July 2, 2023, at Mahan Hall at West Point, N.Y. During Air Assault training, cadets, staff, and soldiers conducted aircraft rappelling operations utilizing two UH-60 Blackhawks in support of the Air Assault training.Air Assault candidates are trained in Air Assault operations, sling-load operation
