Women's Basketball Earns Win at Wagner

CDT Madison Hovren '19The Army West Point women's basketball team made it three wins in its last four games with a 61-46 victory on Saturday afternoon at Wagner. Hovren had another impressive outing with 32 points and 14 rebounds to lead Army to its fourth win of the season. She was 10-of-17 from the floor and sunk 11 free throws. Jessica Rawls had her best game as a Black Knights with eight points and a career high 10 boards. The Seahawks had three players in double figures. Jordan Hobson led the way with 15 points and five rebounds. Nakylia Carter and Taylah Simmons added 11 points apiece in the loss. Army had a 49-22 rebounding advantage, including a 15-3 margin in offensive rebounds. Army leads the all-time series at 7-3 and has won four in a row in the series. The Black Knights evened the series at Wagner at 2-2. Hovren scored at least 30 points for the fourth time in her career and second time this season. Hovren now has 1,315 career points. Hovren is now seventh all-time in career rebounds with 806. Hovren reached double digits in scoring for the eighth time this season. She added her seventh double-double of the season.
