Army West Point Athletics has announced the hiring of Jonathan Oliver as a Senior Associate Athletic Director for High Performance.

Oliver will oversee Army's athletic training and strength and conditioning departments as well as the nutrition program for its athletes.

"I am honored and excited to work with the stellar coaches and staff that have contributed to the rich history of Army, but most importantly the cadets-athletes," Oliver said. "These young men and women have a greater mission and I am excited to be a part of their development as athletes, but also as future leaders."

Before arriving at West Point, Oliver spent six years at Texas Christian University as an assistant professor within the department of kinesiology. In addition to his role as assistant professor, Oliver served as Director of The Sports Science Center at TCU, for which he also developed. As director, Oliver oversaw all aspects of the center's operations which provided a multidisciplinary approach to improving sport performance and athlete health for TCU athletics, local high schools, and professional sporting organizations.
