Kate Murray averaged 16 points per game in a 2-0 week for Army and was selected the Patriot League Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week.
Murray led the Black Knights with a season high 19 points against Lafayette to help Army snap a five-game losing skid with a 64-40 win. She was 7-of-11 from the field and added five rebounds. Murray then recorded 13 points, seven rebounds and three steals in the 60-48 win over Navy and hit a pair of 3-pointers in the Star victory.
She has been a catalyst for the Black Knights over the last couple of weeks as she is averaging 15 points and six rebounds per game over the last four contests. Murray has also been a threat from the outside, shooting 50 percent (7-of-14) from distance in the last four games.
