The Greenwich Country Club Hosts Skeet & TrapRecently, the Greenwich Country Club was kind enough to host the West Point Skeet & Trap Team in Connecticut for some friendly competition in skeet, trap, and sporting clays. Following the competition, which the cadets won by 30 targets, the GCC members treated the team to a delicious lunch and awards ceremony.

Cadets in Dushanbe Visit the Opera

Cadets studying Persian in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on Semester Abroad Program organized a visit to the opera together with other study-abroad students and their language partner, Omid. Cadets watched “Khosrow o Shirin” a love story from the Iran epic, the Shahnameh (1010 AD) and reported that due to the high register of the performance, it was clearer for them to understand it than everyday Tajik.

Cadets Interview Soviet WWII Veterans

Cadets from the Department of Foreign Languages traveled to Brighton Beach to interview three Russian Jewish WWII veterans of the Soviet Army about their experiences in the war. All three interviews were conducted in Russian and will have English translations when they are posted.
