Cadets Analyze German Offensives in FranceWest Point Department of History faculty are always looking for bold and innovative techniques for the classroom. USMA cadets in History of the Military Art analyzed five different German offensives in France from 1870 to 1940 using the "Fields of Despair" board game. Cadets used the game to visualize German campaign plans and evaluate the reasons for success or failure before discussing the evolution of modern warfare.

Hovren Takes Home Player of the Week Honors

Firstie Madison Hovren was named Patriot League Player of the Week on Monday after a pair of double-doubles last week against Colgate and Boston University. Hovren produced double-doubles last week versus Colgate (35 points, 14 rebounds) and Boston University (23 points, 11 boards). Her 35-point performance against the Raiders tied her career-high in scoring and was her third 30+ point performance
