Women's Team Handball Wins in Philly
The Army Women's Team Handball traveled to the Philadelphia where a new women's handball team is forming. The PA Team Handball club hosted their first ever match when they invited 10 members of Army West Point's women's team handball to compete with them. As the teams were preparing the court, several members like CDT Holland Pratt, '22 used the time to focus and get their mind set for the game. Both teams worked on their fundamentals of flowing the ball around the defense to create openings and then attacking those openings. They also worked on coordinating the defense to cover the attackers. Several players worked on making successful attacking drives like CDT Maggie Weir, '22. West Point won the tightly contested match 23 to 18. After the match the team was privileged to have a guided tour of the Battleship New Jersey which fought in WW2, Korea, Vietnam and the Lebanon conflict.
