Rookie Jolie Duong of the Army West Point softball team was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week following her impressive performance over last week's games in Florida.
Duong shouldered most of the workload in the circle, working to a 2-0 record in a team-high 18.0 innings of work. The Houston, Texas, native posted an earned-run average of 2.33 on the week and dropped her season ERA by 0.3. She struck out 16 opposing hitters on the week, including eight against Monmouth on Friday to tie her season high.
