Women's Team Handball held their annual Laura Walker Memorial tournament starting with an opening ceremony to honor 1LT Laura Walker who was killed in action in 2005. The first part of the tournament featured a brigade open with a total of 10 teams comprised of cadet company teams, battalion teams, BTD, DPE, and Water Polo. Competing on both Friday and Saturday, the brigade open tournament ended with a championship game between I4 and BTD that went into overtime with I4 barely emerging as the champions and BTD in 2nd place. C3 battled with DPE and managed to scrape out a 3rd place victory. On Sunday, Women's Team Handball hosted Penn State and New York City Handball as part of the Northeast Team Handball League. The Black team played Penn State twice, to make up some missed games from the fall, defeating them both times with final scores of 23 to 11 and 21 to 11. Very promising results as they prepare for the Collegiate National Championship at the end of this month.
