5th Celebration of West Point AuthorsWest Point recently hosted the 5th Celebration of West Point Authors on behalf of the Dean of the Academic Board - West Point. Dr. Elizabeth Samet of the Department of English and Philosophy spoke about Ulysses S. Grant as a writer, and the United States Military Academy Special Collections and Archives displayed artifacts from and relating to Grant. It was a great event!

Two Black Knights Earn League Weekly Honors

After posting league best scores in their respective events at the Bison Outdoor Classic, Army West Point track and field cow Michael Renard and plebe Marshall Beatty received weekly accolades from the Patriot League on Tuesday. Renard was named Patriot League Male Field Athlete of the Week after recording a league leading score in the discus throw. His 56.71 meter throw was the best of his career

Yearling Taylor Drayton of the Army West Point Softball Team was named the Army West Point Athletic Association Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performances on the diamond last week. Drayton earned her first weekly honor from the AWPAA and becomes the first softball player to be named AWPAA Athlete of the Week since April 3, 2018 when Courtney Springman did so.
