On April 13, 2019, the Army Women's and Men's Lacrosse Teams visited Annapolis to play their counterpart Navy Lacrosse teams in a double-header event. In the first game, the Army women came out on the short end of a 21-8 game to a nationally ranked (#14) Navy team but showed grit and considerable promise that will improve with time and experience. The West Point Society of Annapolis assisted the Army Women's Lacrosse Team parents in hosting a post-game tailgate at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland. In all, the team and about 150 attendees enjoyed a wonderful buffet provided by Mission BBQ.
Following the women's game, the nationally ranked (#20) Army men took the field and played a very competitive Navy team to a 9-8 overtime victory. The game marked the 100th meeting for Army-Navy Lacrosse. Working together, the West Point Societies of the Northern Chesapeake and Annapolis teamed with the Army Men's Lacrosse Team parents to host a large celebratory tailgate. In all, some 300 attendees enjoyed grilling and home-cooked meals by the parents, and a Papa John's Pizza and Chick-fil-A chicken buffet provided by the two societies for the victorious team.
