The West Point Soccer Club Caps Winning SeasonThe West Point Club Soccer team finished their season with an inter-service round robin tournament in Annapolis. The team led off with a victory over the Coast Guard Academy 1-0. Cadet James Murphy had the winning goal. The following day Army lost a tough, physical match to the Navy rivals. After a scoreless first half, the midshipmen came out with two quick goals in the second half that Army was not able to recover from. The final score was 3-1. Cadet Jack Jakada had the sole strike for West Point. The team finished the 2018-19 season with a winning 5-3-2 record to include a historic over-time match with the Mexican Military Academy that resulted in a riveting loss in penalty kicks during an international December matchup.
