CLS Faculty Develop Case Study for Teaching ScienceAn inter-disciplinary team from Chemistry & Life Science (CLS) developed a case study that was accepted for publication by the peer-reviewed National Center for Case Study Teaching in Science. The authors, LTC Melissa Eslinger, LTC Carl Lundell, and MAJ Ryan Rodriguez, who are members of the biological education research group (BERG), prepared a case study focused on predicting reactions of various military explosives and associated stoichiometric equivalents by applying the Ideal Gas Law. The case, "A Calculated Bang: Explosive Predictions & the Ideal Gas Law" will be available to national educators in the coming months.
