The Army West Point Women's Tennis Team capped its 2019 campaign with a 4-0 setback against No. 10 Washington in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday evening. The Black Knights finished the year with an overall record of 22-8, their most wins in a season since 2013. The Huskies improved to 20-4 and will face 34th-ranked Princeton in the regional final on Saturday.
The Black Knights competed against the Huskies for the second time in program history. It was the first meeting between Army and Washington since 2001. Army finished with 22 wins, the most in a season since 2013. Einck finished her career tied for ninth in program history with a singles record of 69-26 and a doubles record of 76-31. The Geneva, Ill., native's .726 winning percentage in singles is the highest among any Army player with at least 69 wins. McCormick closed out her career with a combined 97 wins to her name, including 37 in singles play and 60 in doubles action. Read more.
