The Patriot League announced Wednesday that seven members of the Army West Point Track and Field program have received academic honors for the 2019 outdoor track and field season. Headlining those awards with the league's highest academic honor is cow Lynne Mooradian, who was named Patriot League Women's outdoor track Scholar Athlete of the Year. The Hanover, Pa., native has been no stranger to academic accolades during her tenure at West Point, as she has now claimed the honor in three consecutive seasons after winning the award for the 2019 indoor track and field season and the 2018 outdoor track and field season. "Lynne is one of our stars and I mean that in the most descriptive way," head coach Mike Smith said. "She is brilliant. What she does on a daily basis and how she does it is remarkable." Read more.
