H.S. Students Two Week USMA Experience
The Electrical Engineering Program hosted 115 high school students over two weeks for an immersive experience in engineering and technology. Students were given a briefing on engineering fundamentals and the many different fields in electrical engineering such as power engineering, robotics, and photonics. The brief included live demonstrations of electromagnetism, robotics, and optical telecommunications. Afterwards, students were trained on proper soldering techniques and worked in an electronics lab each soldering two projects of their own: a temperature sensor and a robotic microbug.
