Cadets in DC Tour the White House GroundsThe Summer Enrichment Program continues to enhance the summer experiences of cadets in the Washington, D.C. area. The program brings together Department of Social Sciences and Combating Terrorism Center cadets who are completing an Academic Individual Advanced Development (AIAD) in the D.C. area for academic and professional development events. MAJ Mike Harrison, former SOSH instructor and White House Fellow in the Office of Vice President, met with cadets in the Vice President’s Ceremonial Office and then lead a tour of the White House grounds. Discussions focused on the intersection of politics and policy within the Executive Branch, importance of civ-mil relations and a military subordinate to civilian leadership, and the unique opportunities the Army will provide for cadets upon graduation.
