LTC Barnhill Deployed Bioprinter ExperimentsLTC Jason Barnhill of the U.S. Military Academy’s Department of Chemistry and Life Sciences is leading experiments in a forward-deployed military environment using an adapted bioprinter ("austere bioprinter"). The ultimate goal of the bioprinting project is to develop technology for creating wound-healing biologics, bandages, stents and bandage/biosensors for soldiers on-site or near the point-of-care.
