The Army West Point Marathon Team raced the 31st Nyack 10 Miler recently. The scenic route runs along the Hudson River in Nyack, New York. The race is hosted by the Rockland Road Runners, one of the largest running groups in the Hudson Valley. The race provided a good venue for the team’s new members to test their endurance and old members to test their preparation for the coming race season. For five of the 16 team members, the Nyack 10 Miler was the longest race they had ever completed. Overall, the team performed great. The men’s team swept 5th place through 12th place. Cadet Kyle Stacks led the team with a 58:47 finish. The women’s team, six women made it to the podium in their respective age group. Leading the team, Cadet Sarah Scales took 2nd place overall with a time of 1:09:13.
