Women's Soccer Tops Eagles, 3-1, in Road League Tilt
The Army West Point Women's Soccer team picked up three points in the Patriot League standings after defeating American, 3-1, on the road on Saturday afternoon. The Black Knights were edged in shots by the Eagles, 12-11, but made the most of their opportunities after putting in three of their eight shots on goal into the back of the net. The Black Knights won their third straight league match.
It marks the longest Patriot League winning streak since claiming three in a row to close out the 2013 regular season. Morgan Walsh and Lauren Drysdale both recorded their second goals of the year. Sydney Shafer handed out her first helper of the season. Army tied its season-high single-game mark for goals with three. The Black Knights notched double-digit shots for the 11th time this season.
