Fueled by a three-goal first half, the third-ranked Army West Point Women's Soccer team topped six-seeded Colgate Tuesday night in the Patriot League Quarterfinal by a final score of 4-0. The Black Knights were explosive off the bat with two goals in the first 16 minutes of the game. Lauren Drysdale kicked things off for the Cadets in the fifth minute, while Erynn Johns tallied another 11 minutes later.
Johns had a hand in every goal tonight, posting a career-high six points in the postseason contest on two goals and added two assists. Also in the double-digit points category tonight were Drysdale with three points and Simone Gardner with her first multi-assist effort. The Black Knights snapped Colgate's five-game shutout streak with their four goals tonight. It was the most goals scored on the Raiders since they fell to Mississippi State in September of 2017.
