Cadets Attend ASCE 2019 Convention
The premier annual American Society of Engineers (ASCE) 2019 Convention in Miami, FL was an unparalleled opportunity for six cadets to professionally develop within their Civil Engineering disciplines. Over three days, Engineer leaders from across the industry (national and international) spoke on the major challenges and advances of our times. Convention topics included: State of the Industry and Profession; Professional Development; Multi-disciplinary Technical; Natural & Man-made Disasters; Strategic Issues/Public Policy; Significant Projects; History & Heritage. Additionally, the cadets gained mentorship from two outstanding Army leaders: LTG(R) Bostick, 53rd Chief of Engineers and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; LTC Lisa Jaster, the first Army Reserve woman and mother to graduate from the elite U.S. Army Ranger School.
