The Patriot League announced Monday that Monica Eckford '21 and Emmy Barnhorst '22 of the Army West Point Volleyball team have been named to the All-Patriot League team.
Eckford, the team's leader in blocks-per-set, was named to the All-Patriot League First Team and Barnhorst, the team's points and total blocks leader, earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors.
"In my opinion, Monica and Emmy are the best middles in the conference," Head Coach Alma Kovaci Lee said. "It is great to see them both being recognized by the Patriot League."
Eckford finished second in the Patriot League with 1.12 blocks-per-set and seventh in the league with a .287 hitting percentage. Barnhorst was second in total blocks with 104 and ninth in hitting percentage with a .275 mark.
"They both have great work ethic and never take a rep off in practice," Kovaci Lee said. "Emmy and Monica are great teammates and will always put the team first. These are well deserved honors for both of them."
Army will host Loyola in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League Tournament tonight at 7 p.m. at Gillis Field House.
