Dr. Brodsky Escorts Ski Patrol Cadets for Training
An important aspect of teaching in the House of PaNE PaNE (the Department of Physics and Nuclear Engineering) is mentoring cadets both in and out of the classroom. This past weekend, Dr. Brodsky (the Army Research Lab Visiting Professor to the Department) escorted several members of the Ski Patrol on their initial season training. Cadet patrollers kicked off their seasonal outdoor emergency transportation training at Elk Mountain in Pennsylvania to hone their skiing, riding, and emergency skills. Cadets teamed up with experienced senior Elk patrollers to practice evacuating patients from the slopes. Every cadet patroller improved greatly, and the team bonded together over meals and music.
