West Point Women’s Handball traveled to Warminster, PA to play against the Philadelphia new Women’s Team Handball Club.
This new club doesn’t have enough players to meet the minimum required by the Northeast Team Handball League, so they had to withdraw from the league. West Point traveled there to help them build up their team and give their new members (and ours) the opportunity to compete and learn the sport.
Philadelphia won 32 to 27 as West Point played inexperienced players in several various positions to give them some experience.
There was great camaraderie between the teams, and they are looking forward to the Philadelphia team to continue to grow and compete at the Open National Championship in May.
After the match, the West Point cadets stopped at Valley Forge on the way back to USMA to explore some of the US Army’s first barracks and see where the Continental Army had its base camp during the Revolutionary War.
