Army Baseball head coach Jim Foster earned his 100th victory with the program as the Black Knights defeated Campbell 5-4 to conclude the Armed Forces Invitational yesterday.
The teams traded leads throughout, with the Black Knights eventually gaining the upper hand with two runs in the seventh. The Army bullpen was key in the contest, going 4.2 innings without allowing an earned run.
Andre Walden was Army's lead producer at the plate, going 4-5 with an RBI and two runs scored. The junior was involved in four of the team's five runs, breaking a tie to give the Cadets the lead on two separate occasions. Read more.
