On March 28, the West Point Society of Alaska—West Point’s most northern society—hosted their annual Founders Day event. Phil Hockenson ’06 served as the host, with COL Gene Palka ’02, the Director of Cadet Activities, as guest speaker. The event was held at the historic Pioneer Hall in Fairbanks, which dates back to the Alaskan Gold Rush era. There were 50 attendees, including graduates from classes ranging from 1984 to 2024. After the event, the group was treated with a spectacular Aurora Borealis display.

Graduates also celebrated Founders Day in Anchorage at their annual event on March 29. Elisabeth Claus ’97 served as the host and Palka was guest speaker. The event was held at the Matanuska Brewing Company in Eagle River, Alaska. There were 50 attendees, with graduates from classes ranging from 1974 to 2019.
