Women's Lacrosse Extends Winning Streak with Road Victory
The Army West Point Women's Lacrosse team improved to 7-0 on the season following an 11-8 road victory over East Carolina on Saturday afternoon.
A 5-0 run, that began late in the first half and carried over into the early stages of the second, helped the Black Knights (7-0) build a lead over the Pirates (5-2) that proved to be insurmountable.
Five Cadets scored in the win with Caroline Raymond and Kathleen Sullivan each recording a hat trick with three goals apiece. Samantha Stewart and Anna Orlando both chipped in with two goals, while Cameron Manor scored once and dished out a game-high three assists.
Army was dominant on the draw for the second consecutive contest. The Black Knights won 16 of the 20 draws against the Pirates as Juliana Dworschak, Stewart and Raymond all played a pivotal role.
