Before spring break the Theatre Arts Guild had the chance to visit New York City. The trip exposed cadets to Broadway productions. They explored the Theatre and Museum district between the shows, and cadets discussed the innovative staging technology used in the revival of West Side Story.
After the show, cadets discussed critical plot adjustments and how West Side Story contrasts and aligns with Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. After seeing "Six" about the six wives of Henry VIII, cadets critiqued the historical accuracy of the show and discussed how women are recorded in history.
