MAJ Karoline Hood, a FA40 Project Engineer at the Johnson Space Center’s Astronaut Office, spoke with students in the PH205 Curriculum via Teams about her experiences working with NASA. She spoke of the training astronauts undergo, the relationship between NASA and SpaceX, the Dragon spacecraft Landing team she was part of last month, and the Lunar Mission which is still on schedule for 2024. The plan is to stay in the moon six months at a time to build a lunar base. Sounds exciting! She encouraged anyone interested in Space to join a STEM field to readily prepare them for the challenges of exploring the Final Frontier.
