The Cadet Hostess Office Launched the Fall Wine Tasting Program recently. These tasting events are designed to train and educate Cadets regarding wine protocol, etiquette, and formalities. Some of the things they learned were: how to read a wine label, the correct way to open a bottle, the appropriate amount poured into a glass, basic Tasting Techniques: See / Swirl / Smell / Sip / Savor, ordering wine at a restaurant - tips, how to ask for advice from the sommelier (wine steward), when you choose the wine, what is expected as it arrives for your approval, and suggestions for serving wine at home when you are hosting.
