Liu, Dolehide and Minus Named February CEP Scholar AthletesStanley Liu and Stephanie Dolehide of Army Men's and Women's Tennis and Joseph Minus of Army Gymnastics were selected as the Corps Squad Athletes of the Month for February.

Men's Tennis: Stanley Liu '23, Stanley has been a role model and team leader in the classroom. In the most recently completed term he earned over a 4.0 semester GPA; his cumulative academic program score is 3.968. As an academic Department Head, COL Raftery explains “this is a remarked achievement, doubly so given Stanley is majoring in the very academically challenging Applied Statistics and Data Science program, one of the newest majors to be offered at the United States Military Academy. This academic major is very much a need of the Army in the Cyber Domain and underpins the innovations achieved by large information companies such as Google.” Stanley is a strong performer across all four of USMA's curricular pillars of academic, military, physical, and character, as evidenced by his combined cumulative quality point average of 3.936.

Women's Tennis: Stephanie Dolehide '22, Cadet Stephanie Dolehide is an incredible scholar-athlete and a leader both on and off the tennis courts. She is a hardworking and dedicated student who has improved her academic performance every semester, culminating in her highest APST ever of 3.602 in fall 2020. She has made the Dean's List for the past two semesters and was recognized on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the Spring 2020 season. Stephanie is a top performer on the tennis court. She and her partner have dominated at the #1 doubles position, compiling a 15-6 record last season and advancing to the round of 8 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Regional Tournament. Stephanie also put together a strong 12-8 record in singles playing primarily in the #2 position; she earned a particularly impressive win to lead the team to a 4-3 victory over Pomona College in their final match before the spring 2020 season was suspended. Stephanie was selected as the Army Women's Tennis Most Valuable Player for the 2020 season.

Men's Gymnastics: Joseph Minus '21, Firstie gymnast Joe Minus from Fairfax, Virginia is a model of steadfast performance and leadership—as an athlete, a student, and as a future Army officer. He has been on the Dean's List every semester so far, maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.7 as a Space Science major. He has also been a Distinguished Cadet every year since he was a Plebe and was I3 Company's Academic Officer last Fall. He will enter the service as a Medical Service Corps helicopter pilot. Joe was a member of the West Point Community Gymnastics Club growing up, and always dreamed of being a gymnast. That dream came through in 2017, and he worked hard to finally make the lineup after putting in countless hours in the gym during his Plebe, Yearling, and Cow years. This year he has competed in the pommel horse event for every single meet this season. Joe's cool, collected demeanor spreads confidence through his tight-knit team and his finely honed skills are an asset to the Black Knights' Corps Squad. He is truly a Scholar-Athlete of the finest USMA traditions and will be equally vital to his first Army unit as a leader of U.S. troops. Read more.
