The honors keep coming for the Army West Point Hockey team as Colin Bilek and Trevin Kozlowski were named Atlantic Hockey monthly awards for February.
Bilek was named the player of the month and Kozlowski earned goalie of the month.
Colin Bilek followed up a strong January with a tremendous February for Army. He led the Black Knights to a perfect record, was tied for the top point getter in Atlantic Hockey, and was tops in goals, producing a 6-goal, 3-assist, and 9-point stat line in seven games played. Bilek had two game-winning goals in February, with those coming against Bentley and LIU. He had points in all seven games, which brought his point streak to 11 games, and two multi-point efforts, both coming in the final weekend against LIU.
Trevin Kozlowski was perfect for Army during the month of February, going 7-0-0 and extending Army's, as well as his own, unbeaten streak to 11 games. He led the AHA in goals against average at 1.26 and was third in save percentage with a 0.942 mark. Nationally, those marks ranked him second and sixth, respectively. Kozlowski was the only AHA goaltender and just one of three in the country to go unbeaten in February. He also ranked second nationally in total wins with hist seven victories.
Army awaits its opponent for the Atlantic Hockey Tournament Quarterfinals, which is a best-of-three series, from March 12-14 at Tate Rink.
