Four members from the Army West Point Volleyball team were named All-Patriot League performers, the league office announced in a release yesterday afternoon. Hannah Presley was recognized as a First Team All Patriot League selection. Monica Eckford, Paige Fixemer and Ana Oglivie were named all-league second team performers.
Presley led the Black Knights with 230 assists on the season and averaged 9.58 per set. Throughout her career, Pressley has recorded 1,429, which ranks 10th in program history. The firstie from Austin, TX, was also second on the team with 96 digs and an average of four per set. Eckford was third on the team in kills with 51 and an average of 2.13 per set. The firstie captain from Mentor, Ohio, posted a hitting percentage of .216 and had three double-digit kill performances. This marks her second time be named and all-Patriot League performer, as she was a first team selection last season.
Fixemer was one of just three plebes to earn all-league honors. The Omaha, NE, native was second on the team with 69 kills on the season and was also second in kills per set with an average of 2.88. Fixemer ranked atop the team in hitting percentage with a mark of .314. Oglivie, a firstie libero, leads the team with 125 digs on the seasons and ranks fourth in program history with 1,398 in her career. The Kapolei, Hawaii, native's 5.21 digs per set was the second-best average in the Patriot League this season. Read more.
