Men’s Tennis Completes First Day at The Bedford CupThe Army West Point Men’s Tennis Team started its 2021-22 season at the ITA Bedford Cup in the Mountains hosted by Air Force on Thursday. Six Cadets - David Gorshein, Nathan Jose, Diego Huttepain, Samuel Eden, A.J. Woodman, and Thomas Lake – will be representing the Black Knights at the tournament.

Samuel Eden, seeded second in the draw, received a bye to advance to the round of 16. He won his match in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4, over Denver's Relja Eskic. Eden will face Montana State's Joaquin Espinoza in the quarterfinals on Friday.

After falling in his opening round match, David Gorshein defeated Montana State's Marcos Zelver, 6-3, 6-1, in the consolation round of 16. He plays Weber State's Matteo Savio in the quarterfinals. Nathan Jose fell in three sets in his opening round match. Jose received a bye and will play Jordan Coutinho from Weber State in the consolation quarterfinals on Friday. Read more.
