Men’s Lacrosse Tops Lafayette for Fifth Straight WinThe 12th-ranked Army West Point Men’s Lacrosse Team extended their win streak to five games after an 18-12 victory over the Lafayette Leopards. The Black Knights got the lead with CDT Bo Waters ’22 scoring 12 minutes in. After Lafayette tied, the Black Knights reeled off five straight goals from cadets Jacob Morin ’23, Waters, Bobby Abshire ’22, Danny Kielbasa ’22 and Paul Johnson ’23. Read more.

Cadets Complete Measuring Beam Lab

Cadets enrolled in MC364, Mechanics of Materials, completed a beam lab measuring the strain in aluminum beams with three different cross-sections (I-beam, hollow rectangle, and T-beam). The lab is used to further the cadets’ understanding of flexural normal stresses and flexural shear stresses along the height of different cross-sections.
