Cadets at the American Chemical Society Spring Meeting

Cadets Mackenzie Curtin ’22, Dalton Ennis ’23, Richard Russel ’22, and Peyton Visconti ’22, attended the American Chemical Society Spring Meeting in San Diego, CA. Cadets Curtin and Ennis gave a research talk on their work employing quantum dot-doped fibers for explosives vapor detection. Cadets Russel and Visconti presented a poster detailing their work synthesizing small organic dye-based molecules as colorimetric nerve agent sensors and their activity against a nerve agent simulant. The teams did an outstanding job representing the Academy and highlighting how their research can benefit the Warfighter of the future.
