Published on April 28, 2022
The West Point Cadet Color Guard, Honor Guard, and West Point Band assisted the National Park Service in the 200th birthday celebration for GEN Ulysses S. Grant. West Point participates in the celebration each year to honor the former president and USMA graduate. This year, LTG Darryl A. Williams ’83, 60th Superintendent, laid the presidential wreath at Grant’s Tomb in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of Upper Manhattan. Grant’s Tomb, officially the General Grant National Memorial, is the final resting place of Grant and his wife, Julia.
