Golf Places 3rd at Patriot League Championship

The Army West Point Golf Team wrapped up the Patriot League Championship with a third-place finish at 23-over par at the Steel Club. The Black Knights improved each day and shot 2-over on the final day to move up to third place. CDT John Heckel Jr. ’25 was named the Patriot League’s Rookie of the Year after claiming the top finish among all rookies in the tournament. He was also named to the All-Patriot League Second Team. Cadet Jamir Gibson ’22 set the program and service academy record in the discus throw finishing third at the Penn Relays. Gibson added to his historic outdoor season after a record-setting indoor campaign. He has been dominant in both the shot put and discus this spring; he has finished in the top three in all six discus events, including finishing first in the Star Meet. Read more.

Baseball Captures Regular Season Title

The Army West Point Baseball Team came from behind to win a 6-5 ballgame over Bucknell at Johnson Stadium and captured the 2022 Patriot League Regular Season Championship with it. After splitting the doubleheader with the Bison, the Black Knights (22-20, 15-6 P.L.) scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth to earn the series win along with the team's first regular-season title since 2018.
