Cadets participated in a dawn ANZAC Day remembrance ceremony hosted by the Australian Consulate-General at the New York Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial followed by a remembrance service at Trinity Church on Wall Street in New York City. At the church service, CDT Luke Hester ’23 served as a Bagpiper, and cadets Steven Butts ’22, Nicholas Dennis ’22, Jacob Foster ’23, William Hogan ’22, Nicholas Kramer ’23, Andrew Thennes ’25, Devin Valverde ’25, and Darian York ’22 served as the Color Guard. ANZAC Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War and serves as a Remembrance Day for all Australian and New Zealand servicemembers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of their country.
