CDT Schaertl ’24 Turner Construction AIAD

Cadet McKenzie Schaertl ’24 spent three weeks on an Academic Individual Advanced Development (AIAD) trip with Turner Construction Company in San Diego, CA, learning about project management, quality control, and safety on the construction site for the IQHQ Research and Development District. CDT Schaertl learned about concrete testing for compressive strength and how it related to her studies in MC364, Mechanics, and Materials. Cadets Andre Carter II ’24, Jordyn Law ’24, Jabari Moore ’24, Marquel Broughton ’23, and Tyrell Robinson ’24 were named to the first team.
