Civil Engineering Capstone “Kick-Off”

The Civil Engineering firsties kicked off their capstone projects with a team building exercise. The exercise challenged them to design a K’nex structure capable of holding a 3lb water balloon 14 inches above the table surface with the most efficient strength to weight ratio. As the cadets worked through the exercise, the steps of the Engineer Design Process were emphasized to prepare them to solve the complex problems given in their capstone projects.
