The Center for Leadership & Diversity in STEM Visit Cincinnati
In October, The West Point Center for Leadership & Diversity in STEM was in Cincinnati working with the Greater Cincinnati STEM Collaborative and the West Point Society of Greater Cincinnati to put on a mobile STEM workshop. The students learned about designing structures, then implemented those designs building a bridge that would hold the weight of a pumpkin. Thanks to the West Point Civil & Mechanical Engineering Department and all those that attended for making this such a great event. The Center for Leadership and Diversity in STEM (CLD-STEM) relies completely on Margin Of Excellence private funding from generous donors to provide workshops, which have far-reaching effects for underserved future STEM scholars and provides unique leadership opportunities for West Point cadets. The Center is dedicated to attracting and retaining STEM talent for West Point, the Army, and the nation.
