Published on November 10, 2022
On October 29th, the Department of History took 11 cadets to visit Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. Cadets walked through the home of the Headless Horseman, saw Washington Irving’s grave as well as the final resting place William Rockefeller and Andrew Carnegie, among many other residents of the 90-acre cemetery. The beautiful fall day allowed cadets to relax as they learned about area’s history. Afterwards, cadets wrapped up the day with dinner in Tarrytown and even a sighting of the Headless Horsemen at the annual Halloween parade.
