GENE 's GIS team Collects Aerial Drone Imagery of Buddy Team Live Fire Range

The West Point Department of Geography & Environmental Engineering GIS team collected aerial drone imagery of the newly constructed Buddy Team Live Fire range in the West Point training area. The aerial imagery will be used to generate high-resolution maps and products enabling improved planning, rehearsals, and execution of Cadet training. This application of GENE's skills and equipment to real-world requirements outside the classroom supported US Army Garrison West Point’s sustainable range program and helped to improve the quality of future training opportunities for Cadets.

The Department of History honored all the new inductees to Phi Alpha Theta, the National Honor Society in History. Cadets had to earn a 3.1 average GPA in four or more history courses or be a history major with a 3.0 or better overall GPA.
