Williamson Paces Army Golf in Round Two

CDT Justin Williamson '20The Army West Point golf team remained in the eighth spot on the team leaderboard and Justin Williamson shot a 3-under 69 in round two to move to sixth in the individual competition. The Black Knights finished day one with a team score of 291 and has a two-day total of 287 (+11). Elon stayed on top of the team leaderboard after shooting a 1-over as a team to finish the two days at 5-under. The Phoenix were one of four schools in the negative numbers following the first two round. Justin Williamson carded a 3-under 69 during round two to head into the final round tied for sixth. Williamson rebounded after a 74 on day one to move up. Team captain Nick Turner was steady on Saturday with an even par 72 and is 3-over for the tournament and in 38th place overall. Tom Katsenes recorded a 75 for the second straight day, while Andrew Watts improved his score by three strokes with a 75 in round two. Loyola's Evan Brown is leading the individual competition with a 9-under score through 36 holes.
